Embedding Sustainability Into Operations

Recorded On: 01/21/2014

The increasing demand for production of oil and gas continues and for sustainability purposes, basic sustainability principles shall be considered for the future of our industry. The oil and gas industry has regarded, and some companies have adopted, the Brundtland Commission definition of Sustainable Development as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs", which was officially adopted 21 years ago at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development.
