Chief Executive Officer, Biota

Dr. Mathias Schlecht has over 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry and currently is the Chief Executive Officer at Biota.  He has an extensive background from the Oilfield Services side and has been passionate throughout his career about development and commercialization of new products and technologies, driving economic and environmental sustainability.  Before joining Biota, he served in a broad range of roles, including VP of Enterprise Technology, Chief Engineer, VP Technology Drilling & Evaluation, and VP Drilling Services at Baker Hughes.  He holds a PhD and Dipl.-Ing. (MS equivalent) in mechanical engineering from Technical University Hamburg-Harburg, Hamburg, Germany. He is a member of SPE.
