Tom Yost

Tom Yost has held multiple positions within the drilling industry prior to joining National Oilwell Varco in 2001. His career with NOV began in Offshore Technical Project Engineering and Sales and transitioned to Product Line Management with focus on Drilling equipment and systems. He presently serves as Business and Technology Development Manager where Tom serves as a technology focused “OEM” conduit between the drilling contractor and operator. Tom is a 1994 graduate of Texas A&M with a Mechanical Engineering degree.

Kevin R. Scherm

Kevin Scherm has been working for NOV in oil and gas for 18 years, beginning as a mechanical engineer for downhole tools before progressing into more customer facing roles. He has spent the last 10 years working in business development, spending most of his time engaging with Operators about rig technology performance and needs.

Deep Joshi (Moderator)

Deep Joshi is a Data Scientist at Quantum Capital Group. He has a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. Previously, he joined Corva in 2021 as an intern in 2019 and 2020 and full-time in 2021 as Research Engineer. He has a bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering from PDEU, India and a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston. His research focuses on Directional drilling, drilling automation, and data science.
