With the declining production, massive reduction in CAPEX, and volatile oil price, intervention is even more important than ever as it enables more production with a reduced cost per barrel. Currently, around 70% of intervention is done on reactive workflows to restore production instead of enhancing production.

Matthew Billingham
Technical Director Reservoir Performance Intervention, Schlumberger
Matthew Billingham is the technical director for mechanical intervention for Reservoir Performance. He is based in Paris and is responsible for technical guidance on all aspects of intervention services for the purposes of service delivery, technology development and development of intervention techniques.
Previously, Matthew has held several operational and technology roles including Wireline and Slickline Production Services Business Development Manager, North America Wireline Manager for Production Services and Wireline Manager for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain. Matthew has worked in all the key intervention business lines in roles both in the field and in senior management including wireline, slickline, coiled tubing and testing services.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Leicester University and a Masters in Oil and Gas Management from Heriot Wat University. He holds multiple patents in the arena of intervention and has published multiple papers and articles on the same subject. He is keenly involved in the Intervention and Coiled Tubing Association where he is currently the Senior Global Chairman and has previously been the chair of the Technical Committee for the SPE/ICoTA Well Intervention Conference.

William Antonio
Business Line Director Reservoir Performance Intervention, Schlumberger
William Antonio is currently working as Director for Intervention Business Line. He is based in Paris, and he is responsible for the product Portfolio management, market intelligence, Technology Development & Technology Delivery for all the Schlumberger Intervention services, which include Perforating (both in Wireline and TCP conveyances), Surface Well Testing and Multi Phase Flow Meters, Wireline Production Logging and Mechanical Intervention services including Slickline, eLine, Tractor & powered Interventions and Coiled Tubing.
Previously, William held a variety of senior positions within Schlumberger internationally including New Businesses VP for Wireline HQ, Regional Manager for Reservoir Characterization in Asia Pacific, General Manager for Peak Well Systems, Operations Manager in Brazil, and Director for multiple Schlumberger Joint Ventures in Australia and China.
William holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineer from Universidad Simon Bolivar and a Masters in Oil & Gas Industry from Heriot Watt University. He has worked extensively in operations in Latin America, Australia, Asia and has spent time in global roles of HR, Technology and Line Management. He joined Schlumberger as a Field Engineer in 2003.

Nils Kaageson-Loe
SPE Live Host, Society of Petroleum Engineers
Nils Kaageson-Loe is responsible for investigating, recommending and developing new initiatives and enhancements to expand SPE programs including meetings, publications, training and other lines of business. Since 2020, Kaageson-Loe has been host of the SPE Live and SPE Live Tech Talks.
Before joining SPE in 2018, he served in several technical and business leadership roles for Halliburton. He has also held technical and R&D leadership positions for BP, MI-SWACO and Norsk Hydro.
Kaageson-Loe holds a PhD in geological/geophysical engineering from Imperial College London and a bachelor's in exploration geophysics from University College London.
