Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) is an organization supporting and assisting in the internationalization of the Norwegian energy industry.  Norway focused early on sustainable solutions to reduce emissions, especially in the maritime and offshore sectors but also in other fields. The presentation will give an overview of the country‚Äôs ambitions, competences, technologies, and projects within Hydrogen and CCUS.

Dr. Eirik Melaaen

Dr. Eirik Melaaen is Director for Midstream & LNG, East Africa and Singapore at Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP). His background is from projects, management, business development and marketing within marine/yards, process and energy industry with focus on gas, LNG, hydrogen, CCS/CCUS and energy optimization. He has broad experience and a good understanding of international business, especially in Asian countries. He has held various positions in research, consulting and international companies. Eirik has a Ph.D. from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway within LNG technology.

Nikhil Joshi (Moderator)

Nikhil Joshi is the Director of Innovation and Technology at Talos Energy. In his current role, Nikhil is focused on energy transition and use of current O&G skillsets to be applied towards carbon capture and sequestration, hydrogen, geothermal and wind power generation, among others. He has written over 50 technical papers and presented at several events and enjoys bringing non-conventional technical and commercial solutions to non-trivial challenges.
