Tech Talks: Electrification: The Future is On
The global pandemic has served as a catalyst for the reinvention of the energy industry. An accelerated focus on strategic priorities such as capital stewardship, digitalization, and environmental sustainability is driving this reinvention. With an upcycle on the horizon, and offshore production poised to play a critical role in the overall energy mix, the industry must leverage technological innovation and new ways of working to fully embrace this reinvention.
Electrification of offshore infrastructure provides operators with access to lower-carbon energy sources, reducing operational footprint, while simultaneously opening a natural path to digitalization and reducing environmental impact—paving the way for the reinvention of offshore oil and gas production.
Join bp's Rupen Doshi, TotalEnergies' Louise Tricoire and Schlumberger's Katherine Rojas in this SPE Tech Talk as they discuss how electrification is paving the way to lower-cost, lower-carbon energy production while ensuring returns-focused performance results.
This Tech Talk is categorized under the Projects, Facilities, and Construction technical disciplines.
