Well Integrity Standards & Practices – ISO 16530 and API RP 90

Over the last few years there have been several initiatives to instigate or update well integrity standards and practices around the globe. Two of these in particular will be discussed in this webinar.  First, a summary of main highlights of the ISO Standard 16530-1 which was published in 2017 will be presented. Secondly will be some of the changes that have taken place in API RP 90, especially the newly issued first edition of API RP 90-2, published in 2016.

Alex Crabtree

Principal Engineer, Product Development, Oceaneering International Inc.

Alex has more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with both service and operating companies.  Currently he holds the position of Principal Engineer within Oceaneering’s Product Development group. Work assignments have included the Middle East, Far East, North Sea and North America. He is currently chairman of the SPE Well integrity Technical Section.  Alex was a part of the working group that authored the ISO 16530-1 & 16530‑2 Well Integrity Standards.

Gary Limb

Principal Engineer, Well Integrity, ConocoPhillips Company

Gary has more than 37 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.  Currently, he holds the position Principal Engineer, Well Integrity within ConocoPhillips’ Global Wells Group in Houston, Texas.  Work assignments have included Louisiana, Alaska, and Texas.  He was part of the working group that authored the ISO 16530-1 & 16530-2 Well Integrity Standards and the API RP 90-2 “Annular Casing Pressure Management for Onshore Wells”, and is currently working on the refresh of API RP 90-1 “Annular Casing Pressure Management for Offshore Wells”.
